Eighth grade has been working with several objectives in our English class that have the function of improving the learning and understanding of this language.
We have been talking about WH questions, countable and uncountable nouns, progressive tenses, and frequency adverbs. We must know that it is very important for us the knowledge of these terms, because these are the basis of English grammar.
The WH questions are those questions that we use to know places, persons and time. For this questions we use the words “what, who, where, when”.
The countable nouns are objects, places, animals and persons that can be counted. For example: a book, a pen, two apples, three tomatoes, etc. And the uncountable nouns are objects that cannot be counted. For example: water, sand, clouds, etc.
Progressive tenses are the ones which contain two verbs, the verb “TO BE” in present or past, and the action with “ING”.
Frequency adverbs are those that indicate the periodicity of an action we do. These are “always”, “occasionally”, “never”, “often”, “sometimes”, “almost never”, “frequently”, etc.
We are almost finishing this first term. I am sure next term will bring many exciting things to learn and enjoy.
