EL ANGEL SCHOOL SPELLING BEE CONTEST

Our School is over the moon today, March 17th, 2016, because we are staging our very first “El Angel School Spelling Bee Contest”. The hard work and commitment of teachers Thais Tessarolo and Mariangelica Romero managed to summon many of our most gifted students of each one of our grades, starting from Preschool to Fifth Year.

Before Holy Week, children from Basic Education will be competing whilst after the holiday it will be Medium Education’s turn.

The most interesting characteristic of our Spelling Bee Contest is that it is our students who will be judging the contestants. Our judges are students from Medium Education and from each of its grades. This year we have the valuable judgement of Andrea Tedaldi (First Year), Diego Colmenarez (Second Year), Andrea Gonzalez, Alessandra Saturni, Ivan Caamano (Third Year), Sophia Pazos (Fourth Year) and Nicole Gomez (Fifth Year B).

At the end of the event, those students that result overall winners, will be representing the School in this year’s interschool Spelling Bee Contest at Madison School in June.

Many Angels cooperated in the preparation of this great event: Students painted lovely posters which decorated our walls for the past week. These students were Marian Rodriguez, Paula Florez, Sophia Dellan, Isabela Guevara, Luisana Ramirez (First Year), Andrea Gonzalez (Third Year), Gabriela Lopez (Fourth Year), Thiany Campos, Paulina Lopez, Andrea Olivar and Julia Noguera (Fifth Year A).

Similarly, Preschool staff helped the English Department make medals, diplomas and pins and they gave us loving support and advice. This Angel staff was Heidy, Roxana, Yerli, Ana and Auri, just to name a few. We cannot forget teacher Angel and his precious helping hand.

El Angel School’s English Department is so proud of the results obtained and the positive feedback received by all that were involved, specially our children. We will aim to becoming better each year, as we keep housing this very important and significant academic event.
